Elizabeth has been a Clinical Ladder Level II nurse for the past four years on the Oncology unit in Stamford Hospital. She is now the permanent Clinical Coordinator on her floor. Her credentials include a BS in Psychology from Sacred Heart University and Associates in Nursing from Norwalk Community College. She is currently enrolled in the MSN program, specializing in the CNL role, at Sacred Heart University. Her nursing passion is hospice and palliative care; therefore, is currently studying for the Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing Certification.

Dena Joynes, RN, BSN
Currently residing with her family in Honolulu, Hawaii, Dena works as an Independent Contractor performing nursing assessments, case management, and service coordination for various healthcare agencies. Following graduation with a BSN from Austin Peay State University, Dena cared for patients on a medical-surgical floor as an RN at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee. As a preceptor at NorthCrest, she also learned the value of mentorship among nurses and contemplated furthering her education to become a nursing instructor. She is now enrolled in the MSN Nurse Educator degree program at Sacred Heart University.

Keiko has been working in the mental health field for the past 12+ years as a substance abuse counselor, clinical therapist, and psychiatric nurse. She is also a Reiki master due to her passion for holistic healing. She values therapeutic use of self and therapeutic alliance to make an on-going effort to improve herself, especially in her intra and interpersonal skills, which are essentials in her practice.

Michelle received her BSN from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse at a pediatric level I trauma center where, among her other responsibilities, she enjoys being a critical care intern preceptor. While Michelle’s main passion is pediatric emergency nursing, she is also interested in asthma research, interprofessional education and shared governance. She is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. Michelle is currently pursuing her MSN degree at Sacred Heart University Online in the Nurse Educator track.

She is a member of the American Organization for Nurse Executives, American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the National Association for Health Care Quality preparing for CPHQ certification. She is currently pursuing her MSN degree at Sacred Heart University Online in the Patient Care Services Administration track.
